About Me

My name is Laura Winther, and I am deeply committed to helping families and individuals find peaceful and effective resolutions to their conflicts.

Born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, I am a proud mother of three children. Having been divorced and have successfully co-parented for over 15 years, I understand firsthand the challenges and rewards of navigating family dynamics. As someone who has navigated a former spouse who struggled with alcohol and violence, I bring empathy and resilience to my practice.

I have dedicated myself to extensive training, completing hundreds of hours in areas such as mediation, parent coordination, working with domestic violence survivors, high-conflict co-parents, communication strategies, and resist/refuse dynamics. This training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to handle a wide range of family and interpersonal conflicts.

For the past four years, I have worked for the Alaska State Court, assisting families in navigating their unique situations. This experience has deepened my understanding of the complexities involved in family disputes and has reinforced my commitment to helping others find positive solutions.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy exploring and traveling with my family and our beloved dog. These experiences enrich my life and inspire me to bring a fresh perspective to my work. If you would like to know more about my professional background, training, and experience, please feel free to contact me to request a full CV.
